Dear Jeff, You've created a hunting machine. Maggie is doing a fantastic job of hunting pheasants. My son Ben is the happiest I've ever seen him. He finally has a hunting dog and is so proud of her. I don't even have to ask him to give her a bath after he's finished hunting with her. It's amazing how your knowledge and experience can change a dog's interest in two short weeks. Thanks for all of your hard work, it is truly appreciated. You have a talent/gift for training hunting dogs.

We brought Walter, our 3 year-old rescued yellow lab, to Jeff seeking off-leash obedience training. A sweet but willful guy, Walter ignored most commands. He couldn't be off-leash even at the cabin or in the country - he would simply take off and get lost. After two weeks with Jeff, Walter was fully trained off-leash. He is such a joy to work and play with these days and he is a super happy guy. Jeff's experience and devotion revolutionized our dog and our lives.

I can’t tell you how grateful we are for the absolutely wonderful job of obedience training you have achieved with Asta. He has gone from an “unruly puppy” to a well behaved young man. We hardly recognize him. He still likes to test us, but it only takes one sharp “NO” and he immediately behaves! I can hardly believe the difference in him and he’s such a treasure to be around. I can even take him for walks now and he actually listens and “heels” on command!

I have an English Springer Spaniel that refused to retrieve birds. I talked to several people and they all said he would have to be force trained, I knew what force training was and I definitely didn't want him going through that. I called Jeff and he said it can be done but there is no guarantee. After talking with Jeff I was confident he could help me. WOW!!! after two weeks Toby was crazy for birds. Jeff did such a great job I decided to put him through his obedience program.

After we lost our Rottweiler puppy, A friend that raises Boxers gave my daughter this cute puppy, she was out of control. She broke everything we tied her up with, never came when called and wouldn't walk on a leash. It Was BAD, nothing we did helped. I called Jeff to see if he could work with her. I dropped Braxton off for two weeks. WOW !!! what a change, I thought I had the wrong dog. She sat on command, came when called and walked on a leash. I am so glad I sent my dog to Jeff. I have a niece and a fellow employee who are now going to send there dogs to Stevenson Gun Dog and Obedience for training.

Jake went through obedience training as well as the gun dog training with great results. Jake is an energetic, lovable 85 lb. lab, but he is also very headstrong! The progress each week when we came to visit and work with Jake was amazing. Jake was a little gun shy when he arrived for training, but it didn't take long for the sight of a gun to be a source of excitement instead of fear for him. Jake is not only an excellent dog in the field, but thanks to the training he received from Jeff, he is also an obedient family pet. We have also brought our dogs to Stevenson Gun Dog & Obedience for boarding when we have gone on vacation, we have found it to be a great environment for them. Jeff is a knowledgeable, patient, highly skilled trainer, and we highly recommend him.

How are you? Erik and I are so amazed and impressed with the dogs. They are GREAT - they listen really well and it is a lot easier to get them to calm down now.

I wanted to drop you a note to let you know Emmy and I just got back from our much anticipated first hunting trip to South Dakota and to tell you what a great success it was. Thanks to you and your hard work with Emmy this summer, she had the perfect foundation for her and I to build from. The excitement you created with the birds made it very easy for me to continue training her and it paid off in the field. As you know, we asked you to focus on pushing her to be her best but not breaking her spirit and you greatly exceeded our expectations in this area. She is a confident, obedient retrieving machine!
