Please note, a dog can not start this program until he/she has mastered all the skills taught in the trained retrieve program.
Training for Waterfowl hunting ( Retrievers, Spaniels and Versatile Breeds )
We will work on steading your dog to gunfire and calls. We will work with your dog on his or her retrieving skills, through decoys on land and in water. We will work with your dog on multiple mark retrieves and lining skills. We will introduce your dog to casting.
Training for Upland Game hunting ( Retrievers, Spaniels and Pointing Breeds )
Your dog will be introduced to hunting in medium to heavy cover and will learn to hunt close. At the end of this training your dog will hunt close, no futher than 30 yards, and your dog will have the drive to hunt birds in the thickest of cover.
The amount of time needed to complete field training depends on what you hunt and how much field experience you want your dog to have. Do you want your dog to just have basic field training or do you want your dog to have more advanced field training?
If you hunt a combination of both Waterfowl and Upland Game, on average this training takes ( 8 weeks )
If you only hunt Upland Game, on average this training takes ( 4 weeks )

Gun Dog Training
Please Note:
1 ) Dog's must be 7 months old or older.
2 ) The following shots are required and must be up to date, Rabies, Distemper combo ( DHLP-P ) and Bordetella.
3 ) Dogs must be cleared of all intestinal parasites before coming in for training.
4 ) All dogs must be on flea and tick preventitive, and worm preventitive. Owners supply their own preventitive.
5 ) Owners supply their own dog food.
6 ) Dogs must be groomed and nails trimmed before coming in for training.
7 ) All dogs will be individually trained 7 days a week including Holidays.
8 ) To ensure every dog gets more training time, exercise and care, we only allow 10 dogs into the facility.
9 ) To ensure a stress-free facility, dogs with behavioral issues that cause stress for other dogs will not be allowed in the facility.
10 ) Owners are encouraged to visit their dog weekly to check on their dog's progress and to work with them.

This program is all about obedience on and off the field. A Gun Dog must be obedient to all commands, especially when it comes to his or her retrieves, which means all retrieves need to be completed on your terms, with the proper return to heel and delivery to hand. Once your dog has successfully completed this program, you will have complete control of your dog on and off the field, your dog will have a strong desire to retrieve, your dog will have been introduced to the sight and sound of a shotgun ( 12 gauge ) and will be ready to start his or her field training
